Windy City Ribfest
This summer I've been working for a staffing agency at festivals throughout Chicago for a little extra cash. Although it's not a glamorous job (I'm on my feet the entire day doing mundane tasks like asking for donations and stamping hands), it does allow me to people watch and enjoy festivals that I have never been to let alone heard of.
This weekend took me to ribfest in the uptown neighborhood which featured cooking from regional chefs to ones as far as Australia. I have been craving good barbecue for quite a while so, naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to go. Nothing spells summer like BBQ, right? So after my shift I met up with a friend to taste some food.
**The Verdict: Although I didn't try everything there, I would have to say my favorite was Big Boned BBQ from Chatanooga, TN. The meat fell off the bone very well and had a nice smokey flavor. If you're ever around the area you should definitely check it out.

The Beginning
It's two thirty in the morning on a night in the middle of hopefully the last "unadult" summer I'll ever have. I feel like I'm in transition in my life. So I decided to start this blog more for me. But if you're reading and continue to read, I hope that you find what I'll share with you at least a little bit interesting.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Jae. It's pronounced like the letter, "J". I guess you'll learn more as we go.
