Wood Works

I celebrated my 4 year anniversary with my boyfriend last week as well as my dad's birthday.  I remember seeing this tutorial on pinterest  here for a DIY wooden picture a while back and thought that it would make a great part of a present for both of them.  I was  feeling a little cheap and just used modge podge twice instead of the gel medium, but I think it turned out great.

Side Note:  Jeffrey took me to this place called Mindy's Hot Chocolate.  Their desserts are incredibly delicious, and that napolean was one of the best desserts that I have ever had (even though it looks like a mess from this picture).  They also had really amazing hot chocolate which came with a homemade marshmallow AND a shot of bourbon which surprisingly paired really well.

It's nice to stand out sometimes.

I never understood why people choose this nail to make different.  But I like it!

Spring Break, Wooo! Miami Edition

School had been wearing down on me the past couple of weeks so I'm really glad that I decided to take a trip to Miami.  It was my first real typical college spring break making it an experience in itself.  I had an amazing few days and I wouldn't change any of it, especially the people.  The days were relaxing, the nights were epic, and I got a tan to hold me down until the summer.

Uninspired

School has been exhausting the past couple of weeks.  I don't know how I would manage without these people.  Less than two weeks until Spring Break!!

Battle of the Bamboo

Every year my school hosts an intercollegiate Filipino cultural dance competition called Battle of the Bamboo.  This year was my first time ever sitting in the audience not as a performer.  It's a bizarre feeling not knowing everyone there, just being an outsider looking in with an insider's perspective and what I'd like to think is a little more wisdom.

It makes me realize that I'm getting old.

It is a nice feeling being able to sit in and just enjoy the show without having to worry about anything else, but I would love to get the chance to dance again.
